Contracted by MMT AB to provide specialist multibeam personnel onboard the MV Stril Explorer during the trials of their new Surveyor Interceptor (SROV). This 2000m rated vehicle has been developed to conduct high speed seabed mapping and pipeline inspection surveys. Capable of speeds up to 6 knots, the vehicle is equipped with a dual Kongsberg 2040 multibeam system, iXSea ROVINS and Sonardyne SPRINT inertial navigation systems, and a Cathx Ocean Imaging system. The EIVA software suite was used for data acquisition and processing, with NaviModel used for cleaning, surface generation, and visualization.
